Automated trading bot for Hyperliquid

A clear explanation of how LionLabs moves from historical analysis to controlled automated execution on Hyperliquid—while keeping bot parameters, orders and live performance visible.

What does an automated Hyperliquid trading bot do?

An automated trading bot converts a defined strategy into repeatable actions. Instead of waiting for a person to watch every candle, the system analyses the selected market and timeframe, identifies conditions established by the active profile and manages the corresponding execution workflow.

LionLabs separates historical simulation from live activity. Backtest markers describe what the strategy would have done in the selected historical window; the active-bot view shows the parameters that were actually deployed. This distinction prevents a newly optimised profile from being confused with an operation that is already open.

Important

Automation does not remove market risk. Backtests are analytical references, not promises of future performance, and every user remains responsible for the capital, leverage and risk settings they choose.

The LionLabs workflow

The platform is designed around a disciplined sequence: inspect the market, validate a profile, decide the operating limits and only then activate execution.

01

Explore

Review compatible Hyperliquid markets and compare historical return, drawdown, profit factor and the proportion of profitable operations.

02

Optimise

Run a rapid recalculation or a complete optimisation. The 30-minute timeframe and one-year window are an interface example for demonstrating the workflow, not a personalised trading recommendation.

03

Configure

Choose the capital percentage, leverage and optional stop-loss rules. The portal keeps historical visualisation separate from the bot configuration that will be deployed.

04

Activate and monitor

Create the bot, explicitly enable execution and follow its age, realised performance, open position, TP progress and floating P&L.

Connecting LionLabs to Hyperliquid

LionLabs connects through a dedicated Hyperliquid API Wallet, also called an agent wallet. Hyperliquid documents this mechanism as a way to authorise trading actions on behalf of an account without granting withdrawal permissions. The public account address is used to read positions and balances, while the authorised API Wallet signs permitted trading actions.

Credential safety

Never share the seed phrase or private key of your main wallet. LionLabs only asks for the specific API Wallet credentials created for automation, and sensitive execution credentials remain protected on the server.

The private client tutorial explains the connection step by step after access is activated. For technical background, consult the official Hyperliquid exchange API documentation.

From optimisation to live activation

Optimising a market creates a profile for the selected symbol, timeframe and historical window. Activating a bot freezes the operating parameters used by that bot. If the market is optimised again later, the new simulation can change without silently rewriting the profile attached to an existing live operation.

During setup, the user explicitly confirms the Mainnet connection. Once the API Wallet is verified, the network stays active across service restarts; only bots the user activates can trade. Safety blocks and access expiry can still stop execution.

  • Entries and opposite-signal reversals follow the active bot profile.
  • TP and optional SL orders are managed using the deployed operation parameters.
  • Personal Telegram alerts report relevant operational events.
  • The active-bot panel separates realised performance from floating P&L.

Why are not all Hyperliquid symbols listed?

LionLabs prioritises consistent historical analysis. A Hyperliquid market is added to the catalogue when a compatible market-data source can provide enough reliable history for the requested simulations. This is why the LionLabs list may be smaller than the complete Hyperliquid universe.

The catalogue is synchronised and expanded automatically as compatible historical coverage becomes available. This avoids presenting a two-year backtest for a market whose source history is too short or inconsistent to support it.

Common questions

Is LionLabs part of Hyperliquid?

No. LionLabs is an independent analytics and automation service. Hyperliquid is a third-party decentralised platform, and LionLabs is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

Can an API Wallet withdraw funds?

Hyperliquid describes API or agent wallets as trading agents without withdrawal permissions. Users should still protect every private credential and revoke an API Wallet if they no longer use it.

Does a profitable backtest guarantee future returns?

No. Historical simulations help study behaviour under past market conditions. They cannot guarantee future returns or eliminate losses, liquidation risk, fees, funding or slippage.

Does connecting Hyperliquid start trading immediately?

No. After connecting the account, live execution must be enabled explicitly. Individual bots must also be created and activated with the user's chosen limits.

Explore the configuration in depth

Once you understand the overall workflow, review how safety TP order values are estimated, the differences between Standard and Vault and how to assess the combined risk across all your bots before activating another one.

Next step

Analyse before you automate

Open LionLabs, explore the available markets and review the complete historical profile before deciding whether to activate a bot.
